The Visa Waiver Program has been heavily scrutinized due to the happenings in Paris and San Bernardino. The proposed reforms of the Visa Waiver Program will discriminate against nationals of certain countries as part of the omnibus appropriations bill for 2016.

The President signed into law the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016, which includes the House-passed bill reforming the Visa Waiver Program (VWP).
